Well we are in Phuket at last. Plane trip was uneventful, pleasant but tiring. After picking up a sim card (it is an unwritten law that one must remain connected at all times) each we headed for the exit. Our man was waiting dutifully for us to whisk us off to our Accomodation at the Cape Sienna Hotel. Nice hotel, each with a balcony overlooking the ocean. I’ll take a video of our rooms and add it to the bottom when I get the chance. We arrived late at night so it was straight to bed. Had a great sleep and I would like to say awoke refreshed but the remnants of this flu still persist for me.
Di and I both had 10am dentist appointments so after breakfasting on bacon and eggs, croissants and coffee we took a Tuk Tuk in to Patong a journey of some 15 minutes so I could go to the dentist. Susan accompanied me to keep them on their toes. Di had a clean bill of health no fillings necessary but I on the other hand was far from it. I need to have a wisdom tooth pulled, a deep root canal and a crown so most of our time in Phuket will be taken up with dental appointments for me. Yay!
After the dentist appointments it was time to do a little shopping. Then we lunched at a really nice italian restaurant (yes I know, we are in Thailand and we should be eating Thai food) called “The Wine Bar” in Jung Ceylon. We have been here before with Dan & Colin, their food is really good. Bought the regulatory shorts and T Shirts, and then it was football time for me and Dion, found a sports bar that was televising the Geelong Port Adelaide game on a ginormous tv screen.
While Di had a facial and a foot spa with Dr Fish. Have you ever seen these things? You put your feet in a fish tank or if you are really game you can immerse your whole body in one and these little fish nibble at the dead skin on your feet Yum!
Well after the mighty Cats had another win we headed back to the hotel for a light dinner and then off to bed.
