Pre Trip Dinner

Let the anticipation build, we have just had our first pre trip dinner to discuss…

Let the anticipation build, we have just had our first pre trip dinner to discuss our upcoming trip to Thailand.

It is handy having a dental nurse as part of the traveling group. As we are pressed for time while we are in Phuket the dental clinic wanted a bit more information on what needed to be done and our resident dental nurse Susan was able to provide the necessary information. Probably not the the most memorable dinner for Susan or perhaps it was but for the wrong reasons. Knock at the door, “Oh hi Dion and Susan, come in.” “Susan, can you please stare into my gaping mouth and tell me what you see?” enough to put anyone off their dinner.

With that out of the way, Di made a beautiful spicy fish curry to get our tastebuds ready for the culinary delights that await us in Thailand. Truly delicious. Spent the evening discussing possible destinations and activities we would like to go to and do while away. We are open to suggestions if any of you, the vast multitude of people reading this blog, would like to make (Yes I’m talking to you Ilsa!). Just leave a comment below.

A great evening was had by all and we are looking forward to a follow up later on.

Stay tuned (I know you will be waiting with eager expectation).

  • That poor girl looking into your mouths! I LOVE the sound of the fish curry. Can I request that when I come down sometime, as I am not coming with you on your travels!
    Looking forward to more sun??

  • Well I really loved the exciting destination ideas Di and Lee gave to myself and Dion. And dinner was AWESOME …..even if I did need water to cool as wash the spices down!! Guess I better start learning g how to handle chilli….or it looks like I’ll be eating plain rice the whole trip?
So after some diagnosis of Lee’s gaping mouth, I’ve decided I’m keen to see what a Thai dentist can do….I’ll have my GoPro ready to capture all the details in the clinic!!!
On the list of shopping experiences are a tailoring store, the boys are in need of some stylish suits and shirts!! Might even get a skirt or 2 whipped up myself!
We all agree that FantaSea resort is NOT on our viewing list…but a walk all the way along the beach front is a must…..but first I want to find out about where to go and what to do if a Tsunami is headed that way?
So, our clocks are counting down at a rapid pace…the pre-holiday diets have started…all in the anticipation that we will gain a few holiday kilos on our travels.
So excited……this will be our first big holiday in 5 years!!
